Fossil Gen 5 Commerical // Stay Connected

Hey, friends. I’m going to get straight to the point. I have some good news, and I have some bad news. Let’s start with the bad news… I’ve been taking a small social media break, because I tested positive for COVID-19 this week. Insert scary, dramatic music here. I’m fine, but more on that in a second.

The good news is that early on in this pandemic I was asked to be a part of Fossil’s #StayConnected commercial. How cool is that?! Check it out below. Over the past few months, staying connected while isolating has been super difficult, and especially now that I haven’t been feeling 100%. I didn’t go anywhere or see anyone for over 2 months! I tend to hole myself away when things get stressful. Getting my Fossil smartwatch has made it much easier to keep in touch, and I’ve been able to meaningfully reconnect with my chosen family all the way in Chicago. The Davidson’s and I have had dance parties and have checked in on each other’s activities. Staying connected with them virtually has been essential to staying in good spirits and feeling less alone. Now that I’m sick, I’ve been using it more to keep track of my health metrics.

I remember when all of this started, a lot of us didn’t know anyone affected by the virus. Now here I am tackling the COVID like a champ! I am going to do my best to keep you in the loop with the weird symptoms that seem to change daily. For example, right now, I cannot smell worth a damn. NOTHING. I also feel like I’m an actual slug. I’ve got some body aches but what I’m monitoring most is my breathing. I have pretty bad asthma, but so far, a few puffs of my inhaler does the trick. Thank you to those of you who have checked in on me in my absence. Let it be known that I am back, and I plan on kicking this virus in the shin until it’s gone!
