“Bringing talented & passionate people together is important. When we get all of those people on one rooftop THAT is when ideas start to marinate and positive change begins to happen within our communities.” – Steph Grant

Have you ever had one of those nights where you just want to rewind and relive it all over again so you can see it happening from a different perspective? We wish we could do that for this past Friday nights event. We here at the Promote Love Movement put on a rooftop event to help raise money and awareness for a cause close to our hearts… No Kid Hungry. What a memorable night!

Let us paint you a picture: sunset on a rooftop, overlooking the Dallas skyline. White twinkle lights swayed in the background & mellow tunes filled the air while we sipped on wine and connected with new and long time friends. Local artists lined the rooftop with vibrant art– art that, if sold, would be donated to No Kid Hungry. Our goal that night was to raise $5K to help end childhood hunger in America. Some people forget that just $1 can help provide a child with up to 10 meals! 16 million kids in America aren’t getting the food they need. With your help we not only met our goal of $5K but we raised $6,934.53! Which means we helped provide 69,340 meals.

Bringing talented & passionate people together is important. When we get all of those people on one rooftop THAT is when ideas start to marinate and positive change starts to happen within our communities. After the event, our photographer, Heather Abbott, said something that stuck with us, “Put your everything into everything that you love.”  We hope that the vision of the Promote Love Movement sticks with you. When asked the question “how do you Promote Love in your life?” we want for you to be able to answer that question with absolute certainty. We hope you surround yourself with love and with kindness in every area of your life. Embrace others with compassion and acceptance. We can all contribute to making this world a better place in simple ways – sharing a smile and listening to someone like when we met Gregory or in ways that require some planning like when we got together to help our community after the Rowlett Tornados here in Dallas. Don’t wait for someone else to do it. Get out there and plan with urgency. Love with reckless abandon, for we are never promised tomorrow. Thank you to every single one of you who came together to make this event possible. Let’s keep it up! We have proved that we can do big things together in the name of love!

“If you wait until you can do everything for everybody, instead of something for somebody, you’ll end up not doing anything for anybody.” ~ Malcom Bane.
